MILWAUKEE – First indoors, now outdoors,
Adam Shaw has qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Nationals at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio next weekend in the 1,500-meter run.
Shaw, a senior from Minooka, Illinois, has been on a tear this outdoor season, finishing top two in every individual race, along with winning his opener at the NCC First Chance Invitational on March 28
th, along with winning the NACC Outdoor Championship in 3:52.10. Last week at the UW-La Crosse Uncaged Eagle Open, Shaw rebroke his school record and NACC record to qualify for the NCAA Championships, running 3:47.44 which is ranked 15
th.
"I am excited to see what Adam can do at Nationals" said head coach
Bill Massoels. "To watch his growth over these last four years has been awesome. He learned a great deal from indoor nationals and I believe he will put that to good use next week."
Shaw will toe the line in the 1,500-meter run on Thursday, May 22
nd at 4:35 PM, with the final coming on Saturday at 12:25 PM.
