WHEATON, Ill. - The MSOE women's tennis team faced off against Wheaton College on Saturday afternoon, as the Red and White closed out their opening weekend of the season in Illinois. The always-formidable Thunder would shutout the Raiders by a score of 7-0 as MSOE turns the page towards their first home events.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders were unable to wrangle the doubles point away from the Thunder, as Wheaton swept all three doubles contests, despite the Raiders picking up games in each.
- Freshman Lana Brooks nearly captured a win for the Raiders, bouncing back from a 2-6 loss in her first set, for a 6-2 win in the second. Brooks would fight tooth-and-nail but ultimately fell to her opponent in the third set tiebreaker.

The Raiders will host their first home events of the season next weekend, starting with a clash against Concordia Chicago on Saturday, September 6
th. The action is set to begin at 10:00 A.M.
