MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's hockey team honored its senior class Saturday afternoon, falling to University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire to close out the weekend series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Eau Claire (10-4-1, 6-1-0 WIAC) completely dominated the first period, outshooting MSOE (7-7-1, 4-3-1 NCHA) 15-5, scoring just 2:15 into the opening puck drop and scoring short-handed at the midway point. The Raiders were able to flip the shot totals around in the second period, leading 12-6, but late in the period let the Blugolds strike again to make it 3-0.
- Getting a powerplay opportunity late in the second, Cole Beilke was able to retrieve the puck from the wall and feed back into Sam Lyons, sending it across to Jacob Bosse to send it in from to the right side to score to cut the deficit down to two heading into the second intermission. The Raiders were able to force three powerplay opportunities in third period but couldn't muster up any shots as they were outshot for the period 7-5 to end it.
