HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (6-8-1, 3-4-1 NCHA) trailed the Buccaneers (2-14-0) after a Beloit goal at the 6:41 mark of the first period. The Raiders would be outshot by the Buccaneers thirteen to seven through the first 20 minutes of play, as Beloit maintained their 1-0 lead through the first intermission. The Raiders would waste little time in the second period before tying things up, as Hannah Baumann scored the first of her two goals of the evening to tie things up less than two minutes into the second frame.
- The Raiders would go up 2-1 with 4:59 remaining in the second period as Amy MacDonald recorded her second goal of the season, as the captain put the Red and White in the driver's seat with 25 minutes left to play. The Buccaneers would draw a hooking penalty as the second period came to a close, as Beloit would look to score on the powerplay and tie things up to start the third period.
- In the third period, Alexa Novak and the MSOE defense shutdown the Beloit powerplay, before taking a turn of their own after a Buccaneer cross-checking penalty. Baumann would tally her second goal thanks to an assist from Emily Reiner, as the Raiders went up 3-1, before MaryFrancis Williams added another goal for the Red and White. Up 4-1 with just over five minutes left to play in the game, as the Raiders would allow one late goal past but would hang on to win, as they creep closer to .500 with the home victory.
