HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a kill from Emma Schattschneider put MSOE (14-8, 8-2 NACC) in front early, Concordia Chicago (8-16, 4-6 NACC) quickly answered to tie it at both four and five. A 5-1 run from the Raiders that saw three kills from Ella Notheisen put the Raiders ahead 12-6 before the Cougars roared on a 6-0 run to immediately tie things back up. A small 4-0 run just a few rallies later proved huge to allow the Raiders slowly trickle towards a set win as an attack error from the Cougars clinched the set for the Red & White 25-17
- The Cougars found their first lead of the match early in set two after a 4-0 run to lead 10-6. That run was immediately answered with a 4-0 run capped by back-to-back kills from Notheisen tied things back up as an ace from her gave them their first lead in the set 13-12. Continuing to trade back-and-forth, Notheisen grabbed the lead after a kill to force set point, with Katie Moser becoming a wall at the net, recording a solo block to clinch set two, winning 25-23.
- The Raiders grabbed full control of set three from the start as Moser and Sydney Emineth kicked things off teaming up for a block as they opened up a 10-1 advantage, highlighted by a pair of kills and a block from Schattschneider. A pair of aces on 4-0 run from Brenna Fledderman gave them their largest lead of the match 16-5 as the Raiders held steady from there to win 25-16.
