HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (2-1-1, 0-0-0 NCHA) got things started early after an Alex Thundercloud shot was saved as Brown was there for the rebound to send to the inside corner for an 1-0 lead under four minutes in. Later in the period, Brayton Frick had the puck from behind the net as he sent it inside to a dashing Ethan Thombs to double the lead as the Raiders headed into the first break.
- The second period saw the Raiders saw success not just from the power play, but the penalty kill as well. Eight minutes being a man up, the passing around the net Nick Sinani to fire it in to make it 3-0. The roles reversed just minutes later as Beloit (0-3-0, 0-0-0 WIAC) went on the power play, but didn't stop the Raiders one bit as Ethan Mann stole the puck at center ice for a two-on-one opportunity as he fed it off to Luke Stevens for the goal, leading 4-0 at the second intermission.
- The Raiders put things away midway through the third period as Brown took the long feed from Nick Comfort and he slid towards the goal to put it in for his second of the night. Just over a minute later, Charles Fink sent a cross pass over to Koen Burkholder for his first career goal, as Dominick Gatto continued to lock things down between the pipes, making 20 saves on the night, to secure the win.
