LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The MSOE men's hockey team fell in the regular season finale Saturday night, dropping a 4-3 contest to Lake Forest College. The Raiders will have the No. 5 seed for the Harris Cup Playoffs, beginning next weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lake Forest (6-17-2, 6-11-1 NCHA) used quick magic for the second-straight night, scoring just 2:17 in for the early advantage. MSOE (10-12-3, 7-8-3 NCHA) would answer just six minutes later Rylan Jockims would find the puck behind the net to back to Eddie Shepler for the quick strike to tie the game at one. Nearing the end of the period, the Forester would grab the lead back to head into the intermission leading 2-1.
- The Forester would build their lead to open the third, scoring twice (one coming on the powerplay) to make it 4-1. Nearing the end of the period, the Raiders would strike to cut the deficit after Spencer Northway made a phenomenal save and it was sent up the ice for Casey Roepke to strike, making it 4-2. Just two minutes later, Nikolai Charchenko would send one from near the blue line in, cutting the deficit to one at the end of two.
- The Raiders in the third period fell behind in the shot count trying to close the gap, making eight to the Foresters' ten. The Raiders also had a powerplay opportunity midway through, but could only muster up one shot attempt to fall.
