Box Score 2 PELLA, Iowa – The MSOE Men's tennis team got back on track at their Saturday doubleheader, taking both head to head matchups as they build momentum towards the conference schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. Central College
- The Raiders took the doubles point from Central and never looked back, dropping just one singles bout in their first matches of the afternoon. Miguel Lopez (7-6, 6-0), Carlos Lopez (6-3, 6-2) and Levi Luis Veras Santos (6-3, 6-3) each won their matches in straight sets.
- Both Augusto Eiji Yamazaki and Clark Rue would battle back after dropping their second sets, as each of them triumphed in their third-set tiebreaker to seal the 6-1 win for the Raiders.
- vs. Grand View University
- The Raiders would lose the doubles point to Grand View, with Miguel Lopez winning his set from the #2 singles spot to tie things up at 1-1 for the Red and White. Grand View would take the next two doubles sets to put the Raiders down 3-1 on the brink of defeat.
- Pedro Rezende Mendes would win his sets at the #6 singles spot with scores of 6-2, 6-4 to kick off the MSOE comeback, with Yamazaki winning his second singles match of the afternoon to tie things up at 3-3.
- Carlos Lopez would play hero for the Raiders at the end of the day, persevering through a three-set battle to deliver a 4-3 win for the Red and White, who won their first head-to-head matches since the fall season.

The Raiders will take on regional foe Carthage College next Sunday, February 15
th in Kenosha, Wis. Matches are set to begin at 4:30 P.M.
