HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (15-5, 10-3 NACC) and Illinois Tech (2-19, 1-13 NACC) were deadlocked at 3-3 after the first couple possesions in the first quarter and from there the Raiders never looked back. A three pointer from Halena Hill gave MSOE a ten-point lead just after the midway mark of the first frame, and a fast break feed from Shelby Glodowski to Emily Troia would put the Raiders up 25-11 heading to the second quarter. The Raiders would continue to extend their lead across the second quarter, with a layup from Dani Mendez pushing the MSOE lead past the 20-point threshold. The MSOE lead would reach as much as 23 points after a couple of free throws from Aleah Butterbrodt, with the Raiders holding a commanding 44-23 lead at the break.
- Coming out of halftime, the Raiders would pick up right where they left off, going on a 14-5 run to open the third quarter, capped off by a three pointer by Glodowski. From there the Raiders would coast to victory, pushing their lead past the 30-point mark at the free throw line as fourteen different Raiders scored a basket in the all-around team win. June Kirkpatrick would tally her first career points and a three-pointer from Emily Ross capped off the Raiders 75-43 win as they continue to battle for a home playoff game.
