HOW IT HAPPENED
  • vs. Wisconsin-Oshkosh
    • JJ Jackson kept Oshkosh (3-4, 0-0 WIAC) silenced for the first three innings, allowing just two hits and striking four, including striking out the side in the third. The Titans struck first in the fourth with a leadoff homer, adding another run a few batters later to lead 2-0. MSOE (9-4, 0-0 NACC) cut the deficit in half in the bottom half of the inning with Camden Hoier hitting his first homerun of the season to make it 2-1.
    • Two more runs from the Titans in the top of the fifth were answered by the Raiders in the bottom half as Christian Bosque drove in Kyle Mayberry on and RBI single before Hoier took one in the body with bases loaded to make it 4-3. The Titans tacted on one more in the top of the seventh before the Raiders tied up the ball game at five, drawing back-to-back bases loaded walks from Robby Erickson and Jordan Skolmar. With the bases still loaded, Charlie Claas legged out a potential double-play ball to score Hoier to lead 6-5, adding an insurance run on a wild pitch to lead by two. Graiden Liethen in the eighth made his way out of a bases-loaded jam, striking out three straight batters to keep their lead. In the ninth, after allowing the second man on, Liethen forced a fielder's choice and then a pop up to short to seal the upset.
  • vs. Hanover
    • Eric Williamson was lights out on the mound in the start for the Raiders, going five innings as he allowed just two hits while fanning nine. Scoreless in the first inning, the Raiders scored one run in the remaining innings as Claas knocked in the first one with sacrifice fly in the second and Hoier doubling in the third for a 3-0 lead. AJ Le drove in the lone run in the fourth with a RBI double with two runs each in the fifth and sixth, including Hoier's second home run of the day to lead 8-0.
    • The Raiders completely unloaded in seventh as Vance Kurokawa unleashed his first home run of his career before loading the bases for Jace Horton, who reached on error to lead 10-0. Jorge Matos Jr drew a bases loaded walk before Cole Vander Velde unloaded the bases with a double to lead 14-0. Hanover (3-8, 0-0 HCAC) made their way onto the scoreboard in the bottom half of the inning, cutting their deficit to four on the verge of forcing an eighth inning to be played, until Darren Rosenberg forced a groundout to end it in seven.
