Harris' Commanding Night Pushes #15 Men's Volleyball Past Warriors

WAUWATOSA, Wis. Callan Harris put together a stellar night as the MSOE men's volleyball team made the short trek over to Wisconsin Lutheran College as he posted another double-double kill-dig performance with five aces as the Raiders defeated the Warriors in the four-set match.

RESULT
#15 MSOE RAIDERS – 3

Wisconsin Lutheran - 1

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After Wisconsin Lutheran (11-8, 5-4 NACC) knocked in the first point of the match, MSOE (16-6, 9-0 NACC) snagged the next five as the Warriors couldn't land in play for the early momentum. Holding that steady lead past the midway point, both middles Hunter Carroll and Matthew Schultz led a massive charge before Carroll and Parker Rings teamed up for a block to make it a double-digit advantage 20-10. The Raiders would hold their commanding lead to win 25-13.
  • The Raiders led set two from the jump through the midway point before the Warriors 10-1 run to eventually take the second set 25-22 to tie the match at one. The Raiders regrouped massively in set three grabbing the first six points as Gregory Kubon and Harris made a pair of kills. A Harris kill on a free ball pushed the lead to double-digits at 15-5 as he finished off the set with a kill from Rings to win 25-14.
  • The Warriors had a glimpse of hope in set four as they took a small early advantage but didn't last long. A kill and ace from Harris tied it immediately back up as the Warriors committed errors on five of the next six points to put the Raiders ahead 8-2. The Raiders continued to grow that lead with Seth Thomas capping off the match with a kill to win 25-13.
