HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lake Forest (3-3, 1-0 NACC) put one in less than five minutes in before 90 seconds later Vayda Flower scored to tie the game at one. Three straight from the Foresters in a two minute put the game open at 4-1 with Ninmann cutting the deficit in half. The Foresters put in two more before the first end, bringing their lead up to 6-2.
- MSOE (1-8, 0-1 NACC) took advantage of a man-up opportunity to open the second as Bode rifled one in to make it 6-3. From man-up to man-down, the scoring continued for the Raiders as Ninmann scored her second to make it a two-goal game. The Foresters end the half on a three-goal run to lead 9-4 at the break.
- Bode connected on another man-up opportunity to open the second half but was immediately answered by a Foresters goal. The Raiders struck back-to-back with Jenna Kent and Flower scoring to make it a three-goal deficit, but the Foresters added two more before third ended to lead 12-7.
- After trading goals to open the third with Bode recording her hat-trick, the Raiders were successful on back-to-back man-up opportunities to bring it back to a three-goal game. With under four minutes to play, the Foresters ran away with three straight to seal it.
