HOW IT HAPPENED
- Illinois Tech (2-8, 0-2 NACC) got on the scoreboard in what felt like a heartbeat as it was 1-0 in just 53 seconds of action. MSOE (2-8, 1-1 NACC) went on a four-goal run, the final three coming from Flower herself, to make it 4-1. After the Scarlet Hawks scored their second, Chloe Ninmann took the draw control went down the field herself for her first goal of the day to make it 5-2, holding at the end of the first.
- Flower continued her success to open the second, scoring two straight within 48 seconds of each other before Lilly Johnson and Arial Lapsa got in on the action with goals to lead 9-2. After the Scarlet Hawks converted on a man-up opportunity, Ninmann closed out the first half with a pair of goals as the Raiders led at the break 11-3.
- The Scarlet Hawks put up one more goal to start the second half before it was all Raiders from there. Paige Calderone roped on in a man-up opportunity midway through as Jenna Kent scored just three minutes later to lead 13-4 after three. The Raiders tact on five more in the final quarter as Alana Perry and Megan each scored their first goals of the season to close out the victory.
