MILWAUKEE/WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The MSOE women's track & field team set many personal bests on the track as they competed at the Marquette Invitational on Saturday.
RECAP
- Jessa Alderman won the shot put with a toss of 14.45 meters, with Josephine Jacklin having a season best 13.36 to finish third, now sitting 18th nationally. In the hammer throw, Kylie Crum took third with 47.30 meters.
- In the jumps, Evelyn Horvat and Akira Lebron went 1-2 in the triple jump, leaping 10.30 meters and 9.69 meters, respectively. Over on the track, Alexis Dorner finished in the second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a new personal best time 12:10.73. In the 5,000-meter run, Ella Kwaterski took second in a new personal best 19:11.35, with Elizabeth Madden also running new personal best 20:28.59. Sophie Wong added a third-place finish in the 800-meter run, clocking 2:29.25, also being a personal best.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Raiders will have their final tune-up before championship season, heading to La Crosse for the Phil Esten Challenge. Events kick off on Friday, April 17
th, with a bulk of the action coming on the following day.
