MSOE is proud to announce the appointment of
Hannah Trees to serve as the new Athletic Director.
"I am honored to serve as the next Director of Athletics at MSOE and grateful to the university's administration for their trust in me. MSOE has a strong tradition of excellence, and I look forward to collaborating closely with our coaches, staff, and student-athletes to build on that success," said Trees. "Together, we will continue to strengthen Raider Athletics for success in competition, in the classroom, and throughout the community. I am excited for the future and what we can achieve together."
Trees has been the head coach of the MSOE women's basketball since 2019 after starting her coaching career as an assistant at Lake Forest College in 2015. Since arriving at MSOE, Trees has led the Raiders to four NACC Tournament appearances, making the conference tournament semifinals in each of the previous two seasons. Trees has coached seven all-conference players in her tenure as head coach, as well as four CSC Academic All-District selections.
"While serving as the interim AD, Hannah has provided strong, visionary leadership and built a consensus for her as the Raiders next AD. Her promotion is a natural progression, and we look forward to The Raiders next chapter," said
Dr. Tim Valley, Vice President of Student Services & Enrollment Management. "As a coach and athletic leader, Hannah wants to win with the best of them. She has experienced success as an athlete at both the DI and DIII levels. Has been successful as both an assistant and head coach and will now work to build on a successful Athletic program. Hannah supports a winning culture and is committed to providing the MSOE athletic department with its best chance to win while embracing the role DIII athletics plays in a student athletes overall collegiate experience."
