WAUKESHA, Wis. – The MSOE women's soccer team clashed with the Pioneers of Carroll University on Sunday afternoon, as the Red and White settled for a draw against the Orange and Blue.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (1-1-1, 0-0-0 NACC) trailed the Pioneers (0-1-2, 0-0-0 CCIW) after an early strike from Carroll less than nine minutes into the game. The Red and White saw a scoring opportunity from Devon Reavey off of a corner kick, but the Pioneer goalkeeper was able to make the stop as MSOE trailed 1-0 at the break, with both teams combining for just seven total shots in the first half.
- After a calculated first half from each team, the Raiders were able to amplify their offensive output, but the Pioneers continued to stop the Red and White until Faith Papazoglou took advantage of a Carroll foul. The Commack, New York native buried the equalizer in the 57th minute, knotting the game back up at one goal apiece. Papazoglou and MSOE would have another scoring chance mere minutes later, followed by Kiley Schmitt nailing the crossbar on what could have been the go-ahead goal. With less than ten minutes to play, the Red and White would hold off one final push from Carroll, with Teya Baxter making one final clutch save as the Raiders played the Pioneers to a tie.

The Raiders will head to UW-Oshkosh this Wednesday, September 9
th, for a clash with the Titans. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
