David Schimpf is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach with the MSOE women’s soccer team.

Over his first three seasons, Schimpf has helped the Raiders to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments, four league championships (two regular season, two tournaments) and 44 wins. In 2016, MSOE won a school-record 17 games including a flawless 10-0 league record for the program's first regular season title. The Red & White then went on to win its second-straight league tournament and extend its winning streak against league opponents to 22-straight.

Schimpf joins the Raider staff as a 28-year veteran of the coaching ranks, having overseen teams from the kindergarten age to adult levels. Most recently, he was on staff with the Germantown High School girls’ team. His resume also includes stints at Homestead and Port Washington High Schools, having helped to build the Homestead program as an assistant. He helped coach Homestead to a state championship in 1995 and led a Mequon United youth team to a state championship and the Midwest Regionals.

Schimpf played collegiately at UW-Milwaukee and continued to play competitively after college with local clubs Bavarians, Verdi, Milwaukee Kickers, and Milwaukee Sport Club. He holds a teaching degree from UWM and double master degrees in education from Cardinal Stritch. He currently teaches third grade at Tonawanda Elementary School in Elm Grove.

Schimpf holds a U.S. Soccer Federation “C” license.
