Coming out of the break, the Red and White would re-establish a nine-point advantage at 43-34 on a Cording steal and layup with 16:18 to play. Concordia then answered with a 12-3 run to knot the score at 46-46 just over four minutes later.
Once again, MSOE started to pull away, but the team could not build its lead any higher than five points, allowing the Cougars to remain in the game. The Raiders last led at 57-56 before the visitors rattled off a 13-4 run to take a 69-61 lead with 2:36 remaining in the game.
Concordia then hit 8-of-10 free throws down the stretch to hold off the Raiders.
MSOE returns to action Wednesday, playing at Aurora.
