GLENDALE, Wis. – Freshman Carly Grant went undefeated in both singles and doubles to lead the MSOE women's tennis team into a pair of dual meets Sunday at Nicolet High School.
The Raiders (0-7) fell to Roosevelt 7-2 in the morning and dropped a 6-3 decision to Beloit in the afternoon.
Grant won all four of her points to lead MSOE. Playing at No. 2 singles against the Lakers, she was victorious by a score of 6-2, 6-1. She also paired with senior Marly Trier at No. 1 doubles and won 8-6. Against the Buccaneers, Grant played in those same positions. She won her singles match 6-0, 6-0 and she and Trier won in doubles 8-5.
Junior Melanie Avery also scored a point for the Raiders, coming out on top at No. 3 singles against Beloit.
MSOE returns to action Wednesday against Lakeland at Grant Park.
