MADISON, Wis. – The MSOE men's basketball team went on a 36-8 run in the second half to pull away for a 80-57 victory over Edgewood Tuesday evening at the Edgedome.

The Raiders (2-3, 1-1 NACC) shot over 56 percent in the second half in outscoring the Eagles (0-4, 0-2 NACC) 50-22 after halftime.

Senior Connor Patterson led five players in double-digits with 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Senior Garrison Glowniak was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field for 15 points, while senior Austin Stueck tallied 13 points. Junior Alex Darville and freshman Max Wojcik scored 11 points apiece, with Darville shooting 5-for-5 in the game.

Spencer Barnes scored 16 points for Edgewood and Emilio Lopez finished with 11 points.

MSOE trailed 43-40 just under five minutes into the second half before seizing control of the game. After a Stueck jumper, Darville followed with seven-straight points to start a 21-3 run. Freshman Max Wojcik hit a pair of free throws to make it 61-46 with 6:21 to go in the game.

Another 13-2 run pushed the Raider advantage to a game-high 25 points at 76-51 in the final two minutes.

The Raiders finished the night shooting 50 percent from the field and turning the ball over just 10 times. They came away with 10 steals on the night, while holding the Eagles to 38.2 percent shooting. Glowniak led the defensive effort with five steals and Stueck came away with four.

Stueck also paced a 42-30 rebounding advantage in the game with seven.

MSOE now has eight days off before returning to the floor next Wednesday at Benedictine.
