ROCKFORD, Ill. – Freshman Brooke Scott scored a career-high 20 points to lead the MSOE women's basketball team to a 75-64 road victory over Rockford Saturday afternoon at the Seaver Center.

The Raiders (13-6, 11-3 NACC) never trailed in the game and led the Regents (2-17, 0-14 NACC) by as many as 20 points in the game.

Making her third-straight start, Scott shot an efficient 8-of-10 from the field, knocking down three of her four 3-point attempts, and added four assists. Senior Megan Kroll had 14 points and nine assists in the game, pulling within four points of 1,000 for her career.

Junior Holly Denfeld was limited to just 14 minutes with foul trouble, but also reached double-figures in scoring with 11.

Mallorie Getzelman had 19 points for Rockford, while Talayah Gordon Scott tallied 13 and Tajanae Key 12.

MSOE opened the game with three-straight three-pointers for a quick 9-4 lead and never looked back. It led 17-10 after one quarter and 38-25 at halftime. That lead grew to 58-43 heading into the final period. The Regents pulled within 60-51 at the 7:12 mark of the fourth quarter before the Red & White seemingly put the game out of reach with 11-straight points over a stretch spanning over three minutes.

The Raiders finished the game shooting 46.9 percent from the field and hit on a season-best eight 3-pointers in 17 attempts. They also notched 24 assists on 30 made field goals. Meanwhile, Rockford shot 43.4 percent for the game and was 16-for-21 at the free throw line.

MSOE returns to the court Tuesday at Edgewood.
