MSOE never trailed in the game, scoring first and steadily pulling away throughout the first quarter. The Red & White then pulled away in the second period. The score was 20-15 just 1:16 into the period when the Raiders went on a 17-2 run to close out the half and take a 37-17 lead into halftime.

The lead peaked at 23 in the third quarter before Rockford came back to win the frame, 17-15, but MSOE hit another rhythm in the fourth quarter and pulled away once more. RU hit the first bucket of the period to make it 52-36 before the Raiders rattled off 13-straight points for their largest lead of the game at 29 points for the first time, 65-36 with just over five minutes remaining.

MSOE shot an even 25-for-50 in the game, hitting a season-best 11-of-23 from three-point range, and shot an efficient 9-or-11 at the free throw line. The team also pulled down 49 rebounds in the game to the Regents' 23. Rockford shot just 27.4 percent, making 5-for-19 from beyond the arc, and getting to the free throw line just six times with two makes.
