MILWAUKEE – Three days after suffering their worst defeat of the year, the MSOE women's basketball team was back at it, trying to get into the win column for the third time this season. They not only succeeded doing so, they moved their NACC record to 3-0 with a five-point win over the Inferno of Alverno.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tuesday's contest was a battle to the very end, with neither MSOE (3-3, 3-0 NACC) nor Alverno (1-4, 1-1 NACC) creating much distance between each other in the first two quarters of the ballgame. The Inferno outscored the Raiders 12-11 in the first frame, while neither team held the advantage during the 10-10 second. With the Raiders down by one at half, Alverno created even more breathing room by outscoring the Red & White by four in the third quarter. MSOE refused to do down easy however, wanting to keep their perfect conference record in tack. The Raiders proceed to put up 17 points in the fourth, while limiting the Inferno to just seven. The ten point different was enough to swing the contest in the Red & White's favor, as they limited Alverno to just 3 of 16 shooting in the last ten minutes to secure the five point victory.
