Lightning Interrupts MSOE Softball

CLERMONT, Florida – An hour delay caused by lightning impacted statistics, which affected last night's story.

Game 4: MSOE vs. Hanover; Win 15-2

  • MSOE took advantage of key hits to propel them to another victory.
  • The teams were at a stalemate with MSOE holding a slight advantage 1-0 in the 2nd inning.
  • The floodgates opened as the Red and White scored 5 runs in the 3rd inning and 9 runs in the 4th.
  • Amanda Manssen started things off with a single that drove in Ziemba.  
  • Rachel Ziemba continued her hitting as she went 2 for 2. She scored 3 times and drove in 1.
  • Amanda Manssen went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's. 
  • Emily Snow went 1 for 2 driving in 3 runs. 
  • Liz Gale pitched for the Raiders 3rd win and Lorrin Pondo came in for the save.
  • The Raiders had 13 hits on 22 at bats, while Hanover had 5 hits on 20 at bats.
