MILWAUKEE – MSOE women's basketball kicked off their 2021-22 season on Saturday evening, welcoming Carroll to Hotchkin Arena. There was some obvious first game jitters for the Raiders however, as they struggled to get their offense going in a 34-point loss.

MSOE RAIDERS – 36

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (0-1) had to play catch up almost the entire game as Carroll (1-0) jumped out to an early first quarter lead and never relinquished it.
• The Raiders had a game high 13 points in the second quarter to keep pace but were still outscored by two and trailed by seven at the break.
• Unfortunately, things did not get better after the intermission. The Red & White scored a combined total of 14 points in the final two quarters and shot just 27.5 percent from the field in the contest during a 70-36 defeat.

RAIDER REMARKS

• The loss snaps the Raiders two game winning streak against the Pioneers and runs their record in the all-time series to 2-3.
