Box Score MILWAUKEE – With their bye week behind them, MSOE women's basketball resumed play this evening against the Inferno of Alverno. Clearly the time off helped as the Raiders came out with one of their best offensive performances in several years, dousing the Inferno by 42.

HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (1-5, 1-4 NACC North) led wire-to-wire in this one, opening up the contest with an 18-5 run. The Raiders defense held Alverno (0-4, 0-4 NACC North) to just seven points in the first quarter and 15 overall in the opening half. Twice the Red and White scored 28 in a frame and never had their lead threatened over the course of 40 minutes. The MSOE advantage almost reached 50 points but it leveled out at 48 with three seconds left to go in the third quarter. The team shot 43.8 percent overall and dominated in points off turnovers (30-3) and second chance points (27-8) on their way to a 42 point win, their first of the 2021 season.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Tonight was the textbook definition of a team effort. All 15 Raiders saw action and all but two contributed at least one point in the win.
- This was the Raiders highest point total since they dropped 84 on Rockford back on November 24, 2018.
