Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE and Edgewood battled it out once again inside Hotchkin Arena this evening just 24 hours after the Raiders came away with an eight-point victory. There were 18 different ties or lead changes in the contest, but it was the Raiders that walked away with the W for the second straight night, this time by six points.
FINAL SCORE
Edgewood – 58
MSOE Raiders – 64
HOW IT HAPPENED
This contest was just about as even as you could get. MSOE (4-4, 2-3 NACC North) shot 40.4 percent from the field overall in the ballgame, while Edgewood (6-5, 3-3 NACC North) made their shots 42.6 percent of the time. The two ballclubs ended the first half in a 31-31 tie, setting up for a dramatic second frame. The Eagles led for a vast majority of the final 20 minutes but never led by more than a few points. However, the Raiders started to turn the tide in their favor with the game tied 56-56. Denote Vanselow drove into the lane for two points and was fouled in the process. The junior made the free throw to convert on the three-point play, giving MSOE the cushion that they needed. That sequence kick started the Raiders offense, as the Red and White scored eight of the last ten points to secure the victory.
