Box Score 2 MILWAUKEE – After bouncing back nicely from their first loss of the season, No. 17 MSOE softball was back in action looking to move their current win streak to four games. They had absolutely no problems accomplishing that goal, demolishing Alverno across town on Saturday afternoon.

Game One

Alverno – 0
Game Two
#17 MSOE RAIDERS – 13
Alverno – 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
No. 17 MSOE (15-1, 2-0 NACC North) played just about as well as you could in game one and repeated that in the second ballgame of the day. The Raiders had 18 hits over five innings with no errors in the field. They scored three in both the first and second innings, one in the fourth, and then truly opened the floodgates with a seven spot in the fifth. Lorrin Pondo started in the circle, throwing two hit ball over the course of four innings before giving way to a scoreless stanza by Sarah Grossman in a 14-0 win.
Game two was much of the same on both the offensive and defensive end. Alverno (1-9, 0-2 NACC North) kept the MSOE bats quiet in the first couple of innings but the Raiders broke the game open with two crooked numbers. The Red & White posted six runs in the third and seven in the fourth to give Emily Wiederholt plenty of run support. The senior went all five, giving up just three hits while striking out nine in the 13-0 victory.
