HOW IT HAPPENED
Alverno (1-10, 0-3 NACC North) kept the No. 17 MSOE (16-1, 3-0 NACC North) bats quiet in the first inning but it was only a matter of time before they were going to wake up. The fact of the matter is they scored their first run without a single hit. Morgan Long walked in the bottom of the second and proceed to score off of three straight wild pitches. The Raiders plated runs in a more conventional way in the third and fourth with Jenna Trewyn driving in three off a double and single that were both hit to centerfield. Kara McKenna helped out the offense by driving in a pair and Lorrin Pondo was once again scoreless, picking up her eighth win of the season in the 8-0 MSOE victory.
