Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE women's basketball has been very competitive in the first half over the past five games, but they've had trouble putting it all together. This afternoon was another one of those occasions unfortunately as the Raiders lost control of a double-digit halftime lead to fall to Edgewood at home on Saturday afternoon.
FINAL SCORE
Edgewood – 56
MSOE – 48
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Once again MSOE (6-10, 4-6 NACC) played an extremely aggressive first half today, this time against Edgewood (6-11, 6-4 NACC) inside the Kern Center. After each team scored 13 in the opening quarter, the Raiders dropped 22 points on 70 percent shooting to take an eleven-point lead into the locker rooms.
- Unfortunately, the third quarter derailed the hopes of the Red & White once again. MSOE made just two field goals and saw the Eagles regain the lead on a last second layup.
- The fourth and final frame was only slightly better for the Red & White. Edgewood didn't play well either, but they got to the line 12 times and converted on 10 of those opportunities to create enough distance to leave Milwaukee with an eight-point victory over the Raiders.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Eagles have had the Raiders number as of late, winning the last five games in a row.
- Raekyiah Williams was one rebound away from another double double. She registered 12 points and nine boards this afternoon.
