Box Score MILWAUKEE – Playing in their first NACC contest of the 2022-23 season, MSOE men's basketball hoped to start things off in fine fashion against Illinois Tech inside the Kern Center. Unfortunately, the Raiders couldn't get much to fall and dropped the Sunday afternoon tilt to the Scarlet Hawks by 21.

MSOE RAIDERS – 55
HOW IT HAPPENED
- There are some games where the basketball and hoop don't want to cooperate, and Sunday happened to be one of those contest for MSOE (2-3, 0-1 NACC). The Raiders struggled in the first half, shooting just 30.3 percent and converting on just one of their 15 attempts from behind the line as Illinois Tech (3-6, 1-2 NACC) jumped out to a 22 point halftime lead.
- While the Red & White weren't able to author a comeback, they did improve in the second half. MSOE rebounded by making 12 shots from the field and were successful on nine of their 11 attempts from the charity stripe on their way to scoring 34 second half points.
- MSOE was also able to slow IIT down on the defensive end as well, but the Scarlet Hawks still made almost half of their shots in the last 20 minutes. The Raiders were able to reduce their deficit but only by a single point in a 76-55 loss.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Illinois Tech has played the Raiders tough as of late. MSOE is now 4-6 in their last ten games which includes a very close 58-56 last second defeat last year in Chicago.
