Box Score MEQUON, Wis. – MSOE women's basketball opened up their 2022-23 NACC season with two straight home wins and were looking to keep the momentum going when they made the short trek to take on rival Concordia Wisconsin. Unfortunately, the Raiders couldn't find a rhythm offensively in a 68-45 loss to the Falcons on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin (4-3, 3-1 NACC) got off to a blistering start in the first quarter against MSOE (2-6, 2-1 NACC) and jumped out to a big 25-7 lead after 10 minutes when the Raiders couldn't keep pace.
- The Red & White didn't do much better in the second quarter either, scoring in single digits for the second straight frame and faced a 35 point deficit coming out of the intermission.
- The Raiders did turn it around after halftime though and played their best basketball of the evening. They shot 66.7 from behind the arc in the third and had their highest point total in the fourth with 16 tallies.
- MSOE was able to cut into the Falcons lead, but it still wasn't enough to do much damage. CUW outrebounded the Raiders 41-18 and shot over 50 percent in a game that saw the Red & White fall by 23.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Falcons have had the Raiders number as of late. CUW has walked away with wins in the last three games between the two teams and are 8-2 against the Raiders in their last ten meetings.
- Sophomore Nina Perl tied a career high tonight with 15 points.
