Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ill. – MSOE softball was once again in the NACC tournament championship game and vying for an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament when they faced off against top seeded Concordia Wisconsin at Bedrosian Stadium. RESULTS
No. 3 MSOE RAIDERS – 0
No. 1 Concordia Wisconsin – 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- No. 3 seed MSOE (26-9, 17-7 NACC) started off the game with a Kara McKenna single which the Raiders hoped would be a good sign for things to come. Unfortunately, there weren't many positives that followed.
- The Red & White didn't register a hit the rest of the way and managed just two base runners from the second inning on, both of which reached first base because of errors from top seeded Concordia Wisconsin (34-4, 20-3 NACC).
- The Falcons scored three in the bottom of the second and followed that with a run in the third and fourth as CUW finally finds a way to get past the Raiders in the postseason with a 5-0 win.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will have to wait until Monday at Noon to find out if their season will continue with an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. If not, their season will come to an end with an overall record of 26-9 and a NACC mark of 17-7.
