Box Score Rockford, Ill. – With each team looking to break their losing skids, a battle was expected between MSOE and Rockford. A game that saw big leads and back and forth battles unfortunately did not go the way of the Raiders as they fell to Rockford on the road.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 60
Rockford - 74
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Regents (7-9, 3-7 NACC) jumped out early in the game, building a 19-12 lead just under seven minutes in. Thankfully, Cade Beekman would spark an 8-0 run to take a 20-19 lead halfway through the first half.
- Rockford immediately answered with their own run, taking a ten-point lead with just under five left in the first half. The Raiders (8-9, 4-6 NACC) would try and salvage something before going into the break, but faced a 36-30 deficit with twenty minutes left to play.
- The Regents kept their steady lead at the start of the second half, but Mason Dopirak and Donovan Carter sparked another run together to retake the lead halfway through the second half. That lead wouldn't hold for much longer though as Rockford pulled away one last time and cruise to victory.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders shot 84 percent from the free throw line in the game, only missing three in total.
- Mason Dopirak's 20-point game is his highest point total since December 17th when he scored the same amount against Lakeland.
