LOVES PARK, Ill. – The MSOE men's soccer team had yet another high school first half as they cruised to victory Wednesday afternoon at Rockford University.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 6
Rockford - 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Daniel D'Amato had one of the quickest strikes of the season as in the first thirteen seconds took it right down the middle from Zach Thompson to make the match 1-0 early. Five minutes later, Lukas Schwenke rebounded the shot to the bottom right corner to put Rockford (5-8-1, 4-4-1 NACC) in a deficit early. As D'Amato found his second goal of the game in the 18th minute, it proved to show that MSOE (12-1-1, 8-0-0 NACC) would run away with it.
- Javier Perez snagged his first goal of the season from feeds from Enzo Boza and Michael Rohrman, with Nico Picha netting his fifth of the year as the Raiders headed into the half with a 5-0 lead. Coming out of the break, Anthony Carli scored his first of the year from Javier Perez and Wasi Ewnetu for a 6-0 lead. While the Regents got on the board in the 70th minute, the Raiders defense shut it down completely from there on.
