Women's Soccer Competes with Ease In Quarterfinal

MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's soccer team found no issue in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) quarterfinals match up, shutting down Edgewood College to keep their season going.

RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 6

Edgewood - 0

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • A penalty kick opportunity for MSOE (17-1-3, 12-1-0 NACC) gave them their first strike of the game senior Emma Halverson. Just minutes later, Elizabeth Kuhn took it herself to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead twenty minutes in. Maggie Thillman found the back of the net from Jackie Keane and keeping the scoring going was Addison Spilman as she floated it over the Edgewood (9-8-4, 6-6-1 NACC) goalie as they went into the half with a 4-0 advantage.
  • Olivia Carroll wasted no time once the second half began to add cushion to the Raiders lead from Thillman. In the 58th minute, Kuhn picked up her second goal of the afternoon as the Red & White cruised the rest of the way.
