MILWAUKEE – The MSOE women's soccer team had a multitude of opportunities Saturday afternoon, only needing a few to cruise past Concordia University Chicago.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 2
Concordia Chicago - 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (11-1-2, 7-1-0 NACC) had many narrowly missed opportunities to begin the match while only giving up one shot to Concordia Chicago (2-10-1, 2-6-0 NACC). That is until Leena Afifi took one the ball herself through the Cougars defense to back of the net for a 1-0 lead, eventually holding the same score into the break.
- The Raiders maintained the same defensive approach, only allowing one shot off saved by Megan Lacina. In the final minutes, Afifi put it away with her second goal of the day as the Red & White picked up their third straight shutout.
