Raiders Draw with Eagles

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The MSOE women's soccer team found themselves on the defensive side for most of the game against the #10 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Monday evening, holding strong with another scoreless game. However, the Raiders couldn't get anything through themselves, resulting in in a draw with the Eagles.

RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 0

Wisconsin-La Crosse - 0

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • MSOE (11-1-3, 7-1-0 NACC) had the first opportunity to get a shot off from Maggie Thillman but Wisconsin La-Crosse (11-1-1, 3-0-0 WIAC) held the ball in their attacking end for a vast majority of the first half. Reagan Tompkins got the start in net for the Raiders and stopped all five shots on goal to keep the game scoreless heading into the break.
  • The Raiders were able to get more shot off in the second half, outshooting the Eagles 7-6, but still couldn't get any to sneak through, including a shot from Elizabeth Kuhn off the post. Megan Lacina stepped in as goalkeeper for the second half and continued to keep the defense strong not allowing anything pass, resulting in draw.
