MANKATO, Minn. – The MSOE men's basketball team kicked off their season tonight facing Bethany Lutheran College as the Vikings went on a large run late to defeat the Raiders.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (0-1, 0-0 NACC) held the lead for a large majority of the first half, with a lead as large as seven after a jumper for Jordan Pollnow. Bethany Lutheran (1-0, 0-0 UMAC) pulled in to tie up the game at 36, taking a lead with just under three minutes to play in the first half, extending a 50-42 lead heading into the break.
• Mason Dopirak led the charge to tie up the game at 56 before eventually a layup from Donovan Carter gave the Raiders a 65-60 lead. The Vikings didn't back down to make a comeback, eventually completely running away with the game.
