HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (19-1-3, 14-1-0 NACC) and Illinois Tech (19-3-1, 13-0-0 NACC) fought to a stalemate in the first half, with neither team having much time on the attack. Reagan Tompkins made a big save that allowed the Raiders to flip the momentum but were unable to capitalize on a shot from Elizabeth Kuhn
- The Raiders defense allowed only six shots on goal and used Leena Affifi's relentless pursuit of the ball to put them in better positions down the stretch. Emma Halverson was no-good on a penalty kick with fifteen minutes remaining.
- Maggie Thillman seized the opportunity and buried the lone goal with 6:27 remaining in the second overtime period. The Raiders were able to maintain possession and dribbled the ball into the corner as time expired.
