HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trading baskets to begin, MSOE (2-6, 1-3 NACC) held a short advantage through the midway point of the first half when a jumper from Mason Dopirak kick started a 6-0 run to make it 23-11. Dominican (2-7, 1-4 NACC) shot back to stay within six, but the Raiders shot 67% from the floor in the half and closed on a 14-5, including taking a 17-point advantage from free-throws from Chase Cummings, as they went into the break leading 43-29.
- The Stars caught fire from behind the arch, shooting 53% in second half, propelling them into the lead at the 10:48 mark, 54-51. With just under three minutes to play, the Raiders made the stops they needed, including a clutch steal from Carson Cordelli to force a foul and put the score to within three with just eight seconds remaining. Free-throws from the Stars late however sealed their comeback.
