MILWAUKEE – One of the most highly anticipated matchups this season, the MSOE women's soccer team suffers its first loss of the season against Illinois Tech.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (7-1-2, 3-1-0 NACC) had multiple opportunities to begin the first but couldn't 7convert. Illinois Tech (7-1-1, 4-0-0 NACC) slowly started to gain control of the ball in their attacking end and converted in the 34th minute for the first goal of the game. The final eleven minutes remain quite quiet as the Raiders went into the break down one.
- The two sides traded offensive blows to try to add points on the board to begin the second half, but neither could convert. Eventually in the 63rd minute, the Scarlet Hawks extended their lead to continue their pressure on the Raiders. The Raiders would only get three shots off the rest of the half from Leena Afifi, Elizabeth Kuhn, and Emma Halverson, but they couldn't convert to suffer their first loss of the season.
RAIDER REMARKS
- These two schools have had some massive battles in recent years, as the Raiders are 1-2-2 since 2019 with the Scarlet Hawks.
