Men's Soccer Shuts Down Stars

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Raider streak continues as the MSOE men's soccer team shuts out the Dominican University Stars Saturday afternoon to remain unbeaten in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After an early shot from Dominican (6-3-1, 3-1-1 NACC), the ball was controlled by MSOE (9-1-1, 5-0-0 NACC), proved by Zach Thompson feeding Lukas Schwenke in the 20th minute for the first goal of the game. The Stars only were given one more opportunity the rest of the half as the Raiders held the 1-0 lead heading into the break.
  • Daniel D'Amato extended the right out the halftime period with passes from Thompson and Connor Dees to make the game 2-0. The Stars were only allowed three shots the rest of the way, saved twice by Ethan Houseworth, to add another shutout performance by the Raider defense.
