MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's basketball seals off Lakeland University Saturday evening behind a career night from
Carson Cordelli.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 93
Lakeland - 89
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Donovan Carter got the night started from behind the arch as layups from Cordelli and Carter gave MSOE (7-10, 4-6 NACC) a 7-0 lead to begin. Lakeland (5-12, 3-7 NACC) wasn't phased as they created a 9-2 run of their own, eventually building a commanding 33-23 lead at the midway point. Chase Cummings knocked a three after suffering their largest deficit at 11, which proved to kick start a run as the Raiders found themselves back into the lead at the break, 46-45.
- The two sides traded baskets as the second half began but it was the Muskies who found momentum first, building an eight-point lead with 11:35 to play. The Raiders weren't phased one bit and answered after a Jess Hartman three-pointer and Aidan Blackmon knocking one in from deep as well to tie it at 72. With just under five minutes to play, Hartman converted a and-one to establish the lead again, which was the last lead change of the game as the Raiders sealed it for another home victory.
