MILWAUKEE –
Mason Dopirak recorded his second double-double of the season Wednesday night as the MSOE men's basketball team went up against St. Norbert College. Despite the performance, it wasn't enough to stop the Green Knights efficient first half as the Raiders fell big.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 61
St. Norbert - 84
HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Norbert (16-3, 11-1 NACC) set the tone early knocking down a trey to begin to be halted by free-throws from Chase Cummings and a jumper from Dopirak to stay within a one-point game just five minutes in. The Green Knights shot 60% from the floor in the first half, including 66% from behind the arch to explode to a lead as large as 19 midway through. MSOE (7-11, 4-7 NACC) took a stab into their deficit to go down just 16 at the break, 45-29.
- Jumpers on three-straight possessions from the Raiders hoped to be a steppingstone for a comeback but the Green Knights began to answer each baskets made and more. Down 15, a three-pointer from Aidan Blackmon brought the deficit back down to 12, but the Green Knights ran away from that point on, leading as large as 25, to close out the Raiders.
