LAKE FOREST, Ill. – As the games become more important down the stretch, the MSOE men's hockey team put together a statement win down at Lake Forest College Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (10-8-2, 2-8-1 NCHA) put the heat on the whole game, taking 46 shots on the Lake Forest (6-14-0, 3-10-1 NCHA) goalie. Quickly into the game, Seth Bernard landed the first one in the back of the net from Gramm McCormack and Casey Roepke just three minutes in, but the Foresters answered minutes later to be knotted up at 1 halfway through the first period.
- Two of the next three goals for the Raider came being a man up as Adam Smith and Bernard each were successful, along with Charlie Skinner added in an even goal as the Raiders pulled away 4-1 early into the second period.
- The Foresters held strong the rest of the second period, only allowing nine more shots. That didn't stop the Raiders in the third period from running away even more as Carson Jones and Luke Stevens added in goals to extend their lead to five, finishing off the runaway victory.
