HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (13-6, 7-3 NACC) and Illinois Tech (4-14, 3-7 NACC) exchanged baskets to open the contest before the Raiders started to expand their lead thanks to great passing and defense opening opportunities in transition. Following a baseline jumper from Ella Mensen, the Raiders lead got up to as much as eight points in the first frame.
- The second quarter would see the Raiders catch fire from beyond the arc, with Nicole Levine and Halena Hill combining to end three straight possessions with 23 footers, boosting the Raiders lead to 18 points. The Raiders would finish the half shooting 50% from beyond the arc, boasting a 39-18 lead.
- Despite an evenly matched third quarter, the Raiders held off any hopes of a comeback from the Scarlet Hawks in the fourth. Levine finished with a career high 17 points and 5 assists on 50% shooting from the field, on top of a perfect five for five from the free throw line as MSOE slammed the door on Illinois Tech 74-47.
