MILWAUKEE – A fantastic night from behind the arch for the MSOE men's basketball team allowed them to cruise to their third-straight victory, pushing back Rockford University.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 85
Rockford - 64
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first two possessions looked to be déjà vu with Mason Dopirak dropping three-pointers from Carson Cordelli to get the night started, with the following possession Donovan Carter knocking one down from deep from Matus Dopirak for a 9-5 lead just two minutes in. Max Beuthin drilled a three of his own to give MSOE (5-8, 2-4 NACC) a 10-point lead. Rockford (9-4, 3-3 NACC) quickly surged to tie up the game at 20 just two minutes later, but mini runs from the Raiders allowed to settle with a 44-37 lead heading into the break.
- The Regents continued to break up the Raiders' momentum to begin the second half, not allowing their lead to extend. Back-to-back threes from Carter and Beuthin kickstarted a massive run for the Raiders, eventually stacking an 18-point lead midway through. The Regents made one last effort, closing in to within 11, but the Raiders closed out the game on a 16-6 run to cruise the rest of the way.
