MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's basketball team saw it's win streak come to a close as they made the short trip over to Wisconsin Lutheran College Saturday afternoon and were dominated in the paint by the Warriors.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 63
Wisconsin Lutheran - 83
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Matus Dopirak came out of the game for MSOE (5-9, 2-5 NACC) with the early three for the first points of the game before Wisconsin Lutheran (11-3, 6-1 NACC) settled right in. The Warriors took an 11-9 lead five minutes into game, but an eventual 7-0 run capped off by a layup from Dopirak gave them their first lead since the start. The Warriors weren't phased however as after the game was tied up at 27 with five minutes remaining in the half, WLC finished on a 13-7 run to leave the Raiders in a deficit at the break.
- The Warriors did not let up to start the second half, building up to a 16-point lead six minutes in. A jumper from Anay Amoah kickstarted an 8-0 run to turn the deficit to single-digits and gave the Raiders life with 12 minutes to play. A fastbreak three-pointer from the Warriors with 8:45 to play essentially put away the Raiders from any chance of making a comeback, finding themselves down 20 with minutes remaining.
