LISLE, Ill. – The MSOE men's basketball team couldn't keep pace with Benedictine University Wednesday night, falling after big second half run from the Eagles.
FINAL SCORE
MSOE RAIDERS – 47
Benedictine - 68
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After two straight buckets from Benedictine (13-7, 10-3 NACC), Donovan Carter got the night started for MSOE (8-12, 5-8 NACC) with a jumper, followed by a three-pointer from Carson Cordelli for a 5-4 lead. The Raiders took their largest lead of the night of seven after a Max Beuthin three-pointer eight minutes in and held the advantage until six minutes left in the half when the Eagles went on a run to have a five-point lead heading into the break, 32-27.
- As the second half began, it seemed nothing would go in the basket for the Raiders, only shooting 16%. The Eagles immediately took advantage, starting the half on an 11-0 after five minutes of play. Anay Amoah broke up the scoring spree as eventually a jumper from Matus Dopirak brought back down to just ten, 45-35. From there on, it became all Eagles as nothing continued to not go in for the Raiders as they began to get blown away, eventually going final at 68-47.
